Our projects

Our organization is involved in numerous projects.

Mobilization and organizing
  • Revitalize, recruit and unite active membership
  • Encourage members to actively participate and support each other and SRWA activities
  • Identify and elect organizers of SRWA
  • Recruit and or identify, and integrate focal persons and organizers
Education and capacity building
  • Indoctrinate members about what SRWA stands for, its systems and structures
  • Equip members with skills members on responsible leadership, governance, servant-hood and recruiting members
  • Deepen and sharpen women’s knowledge on women’s rights, climate change, environmental issues and influence members to uphold and defend these principles
  • Cultivate the business mentality on women and girls
  • Identify and engage partners and stakeholders to build capacity on Agroecology, other business issues, livelihoods strategies, health issues
  • Train members who are already doing business activities to develop business plans and pitch them to access finances and due support.
  • Train on SRWA and membership on how to develop project proposals and apply for donor funds.
Institutional development
  • Develop a five-year strategic plan and annual plans
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures for SRWA that uphold human rights and good governance
  • Establish organizational structures that are effective and efficient
  • Establish effective and efficient systems for communication and collecting membership fees.
Economic empowerment
  • Apply for finances (grants and affordable loans) to provide seed capital for members projects
  • Promote eco-friendly businesses/ projects
  • Establish and strengthen a business wing to look at issues of business support for SRWA and members

Identify and engage partners who can support business activities for the SRWA and membership

Lobbying and advocacy
  • Lobby government to formulate, develop, enact and implement policies which are aligned to international instruments.
  • Lobby government to formulate strategies that are holistically inclusive but with some proportionate biases towards women and girls.
  • Lobby government to develop, enact and implement policies, strategies and conventions that uphold the three pillars of sustainability.
Environmental and climate justice
  • SRWA will support and promote Agroecology as a sustainable agricultural technologies
  • SRWA demonstrate against any development that causes widespread environmental pollution and degradation
